Purse Park

Pawpaw patch.

I drove to the outskirts of Charles County to visit Purse State Park the other day. I had never been before and decided to drag Marisa along with me. It turned out to be a very quaint little park, largely undeveloped, with only a handful of trails. We walked down to the water and scavenged the beach for sharks teeth. We found almost 20 in the hour and half or so we where out there. There were also huge patches of Pawpaw trees in the park, although the fruits were rather scarce I was beyond excited; they should be ripening within the next month.
Low tide coincided with the sunset, which made for a perfect evening. We sat for a while, watching the light trickle across the water and dance off the trees before turning back.
