Constantine

This is Constantine, a man talked to briefly and told I'd call him sometime this year. It turned out to be quite the character. Being a big living example and big advocate for sustainable living and community togetherness. He lives in a house designed to use the sun to heat the house and the winter and not in the sumer. His power is derived from large solar panels in the back yard. There is no sewage and all waste from the toilet and sink is composted. His main goal is to bring the local community together and encourage people to buy local and keep jobs local as to raise up the entire community, making them as independent as possible. This story is far from complete but this is all I managed to get in time for class.

Rape Of a Nation

Marcus Bleasdale is one of my heros and his piece on Mediastorm is amazing. I think he's been in the Congo for 8 years now covering, what I believe, is one of the most unrecognized problems in the world today.

Super China Buffet

This is the first story I did for the picture story class I'm taking this quarter. Sue Chen, whom I shot slightly last quarter, Commutes 45 minutes to Parkersburg, WV every Saturday to teach 2 children Chinese in a chinese restaurant. Tik-Sing, the boy she teaches and whose dad owns the restaurant, has been receiving lessons from Sue for 2 months now. While Melody, the other student, is only on her third class.
