The Pinnacle

Sammi, Sunny and I embarked on a nice little day hike along the Appalachian Trail in Lehigh Valley. We hiked North from the Hamburg Reservoir across Pulpit Rock and The Pinnacle, and then back via one of the secondary trails to make a pleasant ten-mile loop. There was a fresh blanket of snow on the ground from the previous night and the relatively mild temperature couldn't have made for better conditions. I've heard this is a fairly popular section, but be it the cold weather or the fact that it was a Thursday, we had the entire trail to ourselves aside from the footprints left by a mystery hiker preceding us.
