This is the bike shop where I spend a lot of my free time. These guys are so much fun and there are always people stopping by or hanging around the shop. I was the one that came up with the English translation for their name.

Shangzhai Village (上寨村)

I was told this house was around 300 years old.








This as on either side of the gateway to one of the homes.









This place had almost a timeless feel to it. It seemed pretty isolated and my friend told me the older people never leave the village.

From a bike trip to Shangzhai Village (上寨村) about a week ago. I had so many pictures so I split the post into two. These are the to and from pictures and the the ones in village will come soon. This village was about 50km (30ish miles) out from Linfen due north then maybe eastish. I'm pretty sure it's part of Hongtong county (洪洞县), but don't quote me on that one.
