Portraits

I borrowed a set of lights and set up a studio in my dorm room. These are some of the images I've captured from the past couple days.

Sue Chen

I found a lady who teaches chinese classes out of her home to an array of students ranging from 2-years-old to grad students. I've visited her twice so far, I'm not sure where to go with this story, so it might hold off till next quarter. I've realized two things from photographing her, owning a car would make my life so much easier, and my level of chinese is about the same as the kindergarden class.

Eden 2

Here is more from the Story on Eden, It wasn't what I had expected, and turned out to be harder to photograph then I would have thought. I never quite got what I was looking for but, coordinating times between myself, Eden and her mother proved to be a little difficult. I don't think I will continue the story any further but this is what I was able to capture in the time I had.

Eden

I'm doing a quick story on Eden, a 15 year-old college Freshman who raises service dogs. She has been volunteering for Canine Companions for Independence for the last 4 years. The organization is non profit and works to provide disabled people with service dogs. I was able to spend a couple hours with her and Kelvin while she studied at Donkey Coffee shop.

Cape Cod

Spent a weekend in Cape Cod with my Aunt and Uncle. They just adopted a 12-year-old girl from China who is as friendly as can be. She is quickly learning english and it will be interesting to see how she adapts over the next year or so.It was a wonderful weekend, the light there competes with Scotland, went clamming with my uncle and hung out at the beach. I'm thinking about quitting photography and moving there to take up clamming professionally.
