WuYI Lu Construction (五一路)

This is where the workers live temporarily. They are all from a contracting company out of Yuncheng (运城), a city 90 miles (150km) to the south.


Each worker makes about 100 RMB a day, roughly equivalent to 15 USD. I'm told it's a pretty good wage.



A friend of mine is a construction site manager for sewer and drainage projects in the area. He invited over to have a look at one of their latest excursions, which I could have easily just walked around myself because there's not really any restrictions for pedestrians wondering through constructions sites, but I got less uncomfortable stares this way.
